Government to create legislation for enforced work experience for MPs and Lords.
The Government should legislate for compulsory work experience for all politicians. The duration of which should be for one week per year in a randomly assigned position. The program should include some civil servants.
An independent group will be set up to find work experience places for MPs and Lords. The jobs selected will be based upon the proportion of people they employ – 85% of places would be in jobs paying less than £25k/yr.
The MPs and Lords should be paired with someone from an opposing party. The pair will work together for a week to improve cross-party relations.
This will allow them to experience what work is like for all classes of people. Thus, they will be able to make better decisions in parliament.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This would be the responsibility of individual MPs not the UK Parliament and Government.
