Put restrictions on using the word 'Flushable' in wet wipe advertising...
No 'Flushable' wet wipes tested so far pass water industry tests according to the BBC : https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46188354
Consumers using wet wipes under the belief they are 'flushable' do not realise they are not causing problems.
I constantly see buses in Leeds, West Yorkshire with 'Flushable Wipes' advertised on the rear... this is frustrating as first hand I have had someone misuse a toilet with wet wipes & was £2k out of pocket to fix the issue.
The problem with this advertising is the public are under the belief wipes are 'flushable' (you can 'flush' anything !) & many are unaware of the consequences (just because you can flush something doesn't mean it doesn't cause problems).
Advertising sanctioning is needed.
