Ban mile based policy’s for black box car insurance
British drivers are being charged extortionate prices to be allowed extra miles on their policy with insurance- especially young drivers- already being so expensive. It is outright ridiculous that insurers are legally allowed to take even more money from people who can’t afford it as it is.
Cost 172 pounds for an extra 1,000 Miles on top of current insurance costs.
Someone being charged 2,000 pounds currantly for their insurance can expect to be charged that again, for more mileage allowance.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We cannot accept petitions about matters which are not the responsibility of Government or Parliament. This would be a decision for the providers of black box car insurance and not the UK Government or Parliament.
