Campaign spending to leave the EU in a 2nd referendum to be lowered by £450000
The Electoral Commission states that leading up to the 23/06/16 referendum on the UK's EU membership, Vote Leave spent £7,449,079, breaching its £7m limit. The government should apply the difference as a negative amount to the spending limit of any campaign to leave the EU in a 2nd referendum.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Electoral Commission, not the UK Parliament and Government, are responsible for setting and enforcing campaign spending limits.
You could start a new petition about something the UK Parliament and Government are responsible for. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Parliament and Government to pass a new law stating that overspends by a party or campaign will be deducted from any future election or referendum spending limit, if that's what you'd like to happen.
