I would like MP's payrises/cuts to mirror those of local authority staff.

Petition Details

MP's have always had pay rises higher than inflation and have never had a cut. They have not observed austerity measures and have additional expenses. Local authority staff are subjected to cuts year on year and are providing services everyone needs.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
