Ensure mps only get a payrise when the people (ie their employers) say
This country has been under austerity measures for years. Nurses and teachers have had little to no pay increases for around ten years. Disabled people, unemployed and pensioners have endured hardships and more people are using food banks yet mps have had a payrise consistently!
According to news sources
Mps had
1.8 per cent boost to MPs’ pay last year,
1.4 per cent in 2017,
1.3 per cent in 2016
And a huge jump from £67,000 to £74,000 in July 2015.
As well as the huge list of expenses I think this is unacceptable and needs to be stopped! I think as their employers the public should be allowed to decide if they get a rise or not! It’s our public money they are spending we should decide IF they have done enough to earn a rise!
