No abstentions in Parliamentary Votes
The electorate vote in MPs, in order that they may represent the views of their constituents. However, when MPs refuse to vote on a matter, they disregard and remove the voice of the people they are there for.
Therefore, MPs should not be able to abstain from a vote.
We are a democracy, abstentions are not.
