Stop the DVLA from forcing those with Aspergers to tell them before they drive
The DVLA is now requiring those with Aspergers to declare their condition or face £1000 fine and prosecution. This is discrimination breaching the Equality Act. The rule applies irrespective of whether the diagnosis actually impacts on the ability to drive. This should never have been permitted.

You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the DVLA has since clarified that there is only a need to inform them of aspergers if it impacts the ability to drive. We are therefore unsure what further action you would like the government to take.
You can find the revised guidance here:
www.gov.uk/asperger-and-driving
You could start a new petition to remove the requirement to notify the DVLA entirely if that is something you would like to see happen.
