Widening of M62 East bound bottleneck between junction 10 and 11

Petition Details

The M62 bottlenecks from 3 lanes down to 2 whilst meeting the mighty M6. The problem has been around for longer than the 20 years I've been using it and we're currently having smart motorways installed but it feels this is outdated and needs further future proofing

10 or 20 years ago my commute was similar but we still had the same problem, the M62 bottleneck. We used to say "if you're not in the motorway for 7:00am, forget it". These times have changed over the years, which I could imagine being down to flexitime being introduced and you now have to be on the motorway a lot earlier to have a chance. However, the majority of us have been and gone by 8:30am - 9:00am.
