The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you are concerned about knife crime, but we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take. It's already against the law to carry a knife without a good reason or to buy large knives when under 18. The police can confiscate them if found.
You could start a new petition calling for further restrictions on carrying knives if that is something you would like to see happen.
