DNA test EVERY person who lives in the UK/Visits the UK/Has visited the UK

Petition Details

There are too many unsolved crimes in our Country and the only way is to DNA test EVERYONE living here or visiting/visited here.
Every persons DNA needs to be on file.
It will help many victims but will also help the Police solve crimes a lot faster.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the decision on whether a DNA test would assist with solving a crime is a decision for the police and not the UK Government or Parliament. In any case, there would be no way for the UK authorities to DNA test someone who has previously visited the UK.

You could start a new petition requiring a DNA test for every child at birth within the UK if that is something you would like to see happen.
