Make it mandatory for cyclists to complete a test to cycle on public roads.
I am a public transport worker and on a daily basis witness the blatant illegal and dangerous acts performed by cyclists on public roads. This includes running through red lights at pedestrian crossings, pulling out in front of moving vehicles etc.
A large proportion of these cyclists, cycle because they do not have a driving licence, which means they more than likely haven't done any theory test either. How can we as a nation accept the fact that we are allowing people who do not know how to properly navigate a public roadway, putting themselves, other road users and pedestrians in danger.
