Petition Action

Reduce the Number of MP's in the House of Commons.

Petition Details

We currently have 650 elected members of Parliament, as we have seen through the Brexit process, they are not interested in representing the people, but are self interested career politicians, time we overhauled them. They cost £50,279 million per year excluding expenses.

Additional Information

Meanwhile the average UK salary is barely £30k, MP's are totally out of touch with the people. Whilst we the people work all the hours we can, are taxed hard, a minimum 25% reduction could be spent far more effectively than keeping them salaried to further their own political careers.
