Make it illegal for a minor (16yrs &younger)to be left alone in a car or home.
Example;Parents leave babies in car when quickly popping into shop etc, because the law does not clearly prevent it.crime rates are going up, it takes seconds for a car to be stolencomplete with baby. Children home alone at risk of increasing home burglaries.Risks!NSPCCadvice & law shouldn't differ.
law says " ...its an offence to leave a child alone if it places them at risk".
This is not adequately defined for the benefit of any parent whose judgement skills maybe unorthodox for any particular reason.
"Parents can be prosecuted if they leave a child unsupervised in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury to health "
Why ar safeguarding measures left open to interpretation . Theres no good emphasising prosecution prior to substantial preventative law . This is dangerous
