Petition Action

Make an MP resign if they do not vote the same way as their constituents.

Petition Details

Too many MPs are not following their constituents wishes. They were voted in to represent their constituents, and not think they know better than them. If they feel they can't do this they should resign immediately.

Additional Information

EU Referendum Results
By Constituency
406 Leave - 242 Remain
Constituency by Party
Lab 148 Leave - Remain 84
By MP
160 Leave - 486 Remain

This can't be right or allowed to carry on. We voted them in to represent us. Not think they know better than us and ignore the people who put them there.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

How an MP votes would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.

The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for removing MPs from office because of their views or opinions.
