Petition Action

Allow Students a National Freedom Day from School to Take Part in Events

Petition Details

Mark an annual national day during term time in first week of July to be known as “Students Rights Freedom Project Day” where students can raise awareness of issues/concerns that affect their lives & organise events/marches at their school or elsewhere to express their views & establish their rights

Additional Information

A day of unity for students to stand up for their human rights is important. The day should be student driven to raise awareness of environmental issues, poverty, homelessness, tuition fees, institutional racism, and the devastating impact of bullying (cyberbullying being the fastest growing form of harassment).
