Make April 28th a day where everyone in the uk reduces their carbon use

Petition Details

I really want to save the planet, and help mitigate global warming. I think if everyone in the UK reduces their carbon footprint for just one day then this is a great start and will really help the planet! I believe that this day should take place on Sunday 28th April 2019.

Additional Information

All you have to do is reduce your carbon use for one day. This can be by walking/cycling somewhere instead of driving, not eating meat for one day, turning lights off when your not in the room, or even just turning your heating down just 1°c can make a massive difference. Please help me with this and together we can save the planet ❤️

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Your petition seems to be calling on individuals, not the UK Government or Parliament, to take action.

If you'd like the UK Government to encourage and support people to reduce their carbon use on 28 April, you could start a new petition asking for that.
