Persuade the local council to increase the funding for mental health in schools.
We have created this petition because of the lack of mental health support for young people, we think that the funding is too low and it is unable to help all the people who are suffering.
1 in 6 people under the age of 16 will have a mental health problem. The number of people with a mental health issue is increasing, while the funding from the government is decreasing. Since 2010 the government have reduced mental health support by £20 million.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
