Petition Action

Call for an independent enquiry into incorrect Oyster charging by TFL

Additional Information

This petition has aim of getting a thorough and independent investigation into widespread problems and deficiencies in the Oyster pay-as-you-go solution implemented by TfL.

Specifically the petitioners request that:

1) a thorough and independent audit of transactions is carried out to identify erroneous charges.

2) procedures are reviewed to ensure TFL identify and automatically reimburse customers incorrectly charged

3) to ensure incorrect charges + a penalty fee of £10 per incorrect fee are reimbursed to TFL customers when the customer has had to manually identify errors and claim reimbursement.

4) an investigation into whether there is any collusion between senior executives at TFL and technology vendors to maximise opportunities for falsely charging customers.
