Who is the righful owner of a patients clinical information
The petition requests a formal public discussion of the ownership and responsibility towards individual clinical information.
Currently there are stakeholders in the information, i.e NHS Trusts, the DoH and the Patient.
The questions that need to be asked are;
1. Are patients appropriately consulted about the sharing of their information?
2. Do they have EASY access to their information?
3. Can they EASILY see who is accessing their information?
4. Can they EASILY prevent access to their information?
5. Is it in the public interest to extend the scale of stakeholders bearing in mind the significant risks surrounding anonimisation of information?
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
