The recognition of Somaliland as an independent state.

Petition Details

Former British protectorate Somaliland came under British control in 1884. In 1960 it was united with the former Italian Somaliland to form Somalia. In 1991 the former British Somaliland declared to be an independent state; however, it is not internationally recognised.
