Begin a judge led public inquiry into the handling of the Brexit omnishambles.
Since the June 2016 referendum there has been a catastrophic failure by the government of its policy and its handling of the Brexit process and negotiations. The outcome has made the UK an International laughing stock. The government’s failure is squarely down to it's own leadership.
Under the Inquiries Act 2005, this petition calls upon the government to investigate the events and serious public and business concerns of this process. The tribunal of inquiry should cover the red lines, the decision to call and frame the referendum, the failure of the process, the costs, the advice given to stakeholders, the negotiating strategy and the involvement of the devolved powers and opposition parties.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
