changing the way commissioners are regulated

Additional Information

We want the law to change on how commissioners are regulated by local authorities and local NHS Trusts. We want the law to be changed that they are regulated by the care quailty commission. Due to castlebeck, the winterbourne scandal, where people with learning disabilties suffered abuse in a private healthcare place. We would like to reduce the beds to 16 as a maximum in these short term treatment and assertment units in nhs and private healthcare places in England. This is a campagin on behalf of the National Forum of People with Learning Difficulties. This law can be changed by government.
