When the government demonstrates it is unable to provide strong, stable and decisive leadership the UK population suffers. At these times in history the government should be required to listen to and take the direction of significant the general public, or be required to hold a general election.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

We aren't sure what you mean by "a supermajority referendum". We also aren't sure in what circumstances you feel a general election should be called.

You could start a new petition setting out clearly what you would like to happen.
