Make LGBT+ inclusive education compulsory in all UK schools
In recent weeks, a number of Birmingham schools have withdrawn the LGBT-inclusive 'No Outsiders' module from their curricula, in response to pressure from parents of opposing moral values. This petition seeks legislation ensuring all UK schools conduct LGBT-inclusive lessons on a compulsory basis.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
Under the current legislative proposals, all English schools will be required to teach relationships (from primary school) and sex education (from secondary school) from 2020. Schools will be expected to have taught LGBT+ specific-content "at a timely point".

You could start a new petition setting out when you think schools should have taught this content by, or requiring schools to teach it as stand-alone content rather than as part of RSE lessons if these are things you would like to see happen.
