Make catcalling/harassment in the street, a criminal and punishable offence
This kind of mysoginistic act, makes women and young girls feel very uncomfortable; in some cases, too scared to go out alone. It is harassment and unacceptable behaviour. Shockingly, every female I have ever discussed this issue with, has experienced it in some way.
In the majority of cases, this act is targeted at women and girls by men. Undoubtedly, these same males would not allow this kind of behaviour to be imposed on their own mother/daughter/sister by another male, so why do they believe it to be acceptable to do it to someone else’s mother/daughter/sister?
