Stop housing developers blocking children in social housing from play areas.
In London recently at least one housing development is segregating the children of less well-off tenants from those of wealthier homebuyers by blocking them from some communal play areas.
Children who are friends at the local school aren’t able to play together at home.
Children are being segregated on housing estates and are being blocked from using the developments play areas just because they live in social housing.
They are having to watch their friends enjoying the outdoor space, not able to join in just because they are from a family who aren’t in a position to privately rent or purchase their own property.
Children should not be denied access to socialise and play in fresh air just because of their social circumstances. This can’t be allowed to continue.
