Petition Action

The UK government to transfer all executive powers to the Scottish Parliament.

Petition Details

The UK parliament has clearly lost all ability to make effective executive decisions in the national interest. The Scottish Parliament has shown it has the ability to carry out this function very competently. Therefore, it makes sense to replace the Westminster body with the one in Holyrood.

Additional Information

The recent ability of political parties from across the political spectrum to agree legislation on land reform in Scotland is evidence of the Holyrood parliament's effectiveness and the skills of negotiation and compromise possessed by the incumbent therein.
