Trigger a general election if/when Theresa May resigns..
Many Conservative Politicians have decided to vote for the Withdrawal Agreement as a consequence of the planned resignation. Notwithstanding, the people should determine the political party it wants to begin negotiations on the future relationship with the EU.
Trigger a general election if/when Theresa May resigns. persuant to the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011. A general election will give a significant mandate to the Government to negotiate any legislation associated with Brexit.
