Impose maximum sanctions on Brunei in response to anti-gay law
According to the Guardian, "Brunei is to begin imposing death by stoning as a punishment for gay sex and adultery from next week, as part of the country’s highly criticised implementation of sharia law".
The UK government must defend human rights and hold foreign regimes to account. We urge the government to use all available diplomatic and legal measures available to it to put pressure on Brunei to overturn this and show that it is not acceptable to the international community.
