Ban dishonest people from standing in any election.
We have had rather a lot of well known politicians lying crudely lately. The public will regain trust in our elected representatives if we outlaw this behaviour.
If a person is accused of:
- repeatedly lying
- or inciting hatred
- or exceeding electoral expenses by more than 10%,
person shall be prosecuted and if convicted shall be deselected if elected and banned from standing in any election for a period of 5 years. Furthermore, person shall be fined and forbidden to communicate to media for 5 years.
Should media ignore this ruling, media shall also be fined.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because it's not clear what you mean by "dishonest people" or exactly what behaviour you would like outlawed. It is already an offence in some circumstances to make misleading statements in the lead up to an election, to incite hatred and to break electoral law.
