Petition Action

Declare a national and international climate emergency.

Petition Details

Climate science proves that human behaviour is accelerating global warming. Further, a significant increase to the temperature of the earth's climate system is leading to rising sea levels, changes to regional mean rainfall, ocean acidification, desert expansion and the melting of glaciers.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about climate change but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
