Petition Action

Introduce Ranked Choice Voting to parliament to break Brexit voting deadlocks

Petition Details

With no clear consensus among MPs, we are left with a futile series of indicative votes that does nothing to resolve the deadlock and just creates further delay and uncertainty. Ranked Choice Voting will address this situation while being fair to all sides.

Additional Information

Rank Choice Voting has been used in various countries including Ireland for some time to address this issue. It will create consensus based on secondary or tertiary preferences. It is described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranked_voting
