Scrap DST element of the Summer Time Act of 1916 and maintain BST all year round
Every year there is a spike in road casualties at changeover. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) says the number of vulnerable people killed in road accidents spikes after the clocks go back in autumn (https://www.rospa.com/campaigns-fundraising/current/lighter-evenings/).
The most recent research estimates that adopting British Summer Time would have the net effect of saving around 80 lives and 212 serious injuries a year.
The number of heart attacks increases in the fortnight after the change, with a peak on the Monday morning immediately following the switch. recently MEP's have intelligently voted to scrap the change, I believe the time is now right that we should do similar and adopt BST all year round.
