Legislate that online sales sites must state which delivery company they use.
The level of service of the delivery company is as important as the site that you have brought from. What delivery company the site can be the factor in helping people to decide if they wish to purchase the item or not.
We are paying for delivery, it should be part of the sales of goods act.
Some website charges more for the item of goods but include the delivery charges within the cost of the item, while some will charge separately for the delivery.
We need to know who is delivering the items before we buy it.
Delivery companies may have local depots or collection points making them the preferred. Some only deliver at certain times and some use drivers who are just "unhelpful".
Being outcarded and having to collect from a depot miles away just adds to the costs.
