Reverse 2016, 5 year increase in qualifying years needed for new state pension.

Petition Details

Qualifying years for new state pension increased from 30 to 35 by government in 2016 under cover of New State Pension act.
Men and women affected; especially those in Opt out pensions eg NHS, FIRE SERVICE, POLICE and ARMED FORCES.
Approximately 80% will NOT now receive FULL New State Pension.

Additional Information

Men and women, at short notice find they do not have enough years for Full new state pension. Women are worst affected, 1950’s born women already hit by up to 6 years increase in state pension age have no time to make up the extra years needed. Pension gender equalisation will not occur until at least 2054, according to Paul Lewis report.
