Allow paramedics to issue on the spot fines to patients that misuse the service
The ambulance service is constantly stretched with waiting times hours long. As a deterrent to stop people from calling an ambulance when not needed there should be a fine. Paramedics have extensive knowledge medicine so if they deem a patient to have misused the service that needs to be punshied

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what you mean by "misused the service". We aren't sure whether you would like people who are ill but who might not have needed the emergency service to be charged. For example, the majority of fake calls to emergency services are made by people with mental health problems.
If you would like to allow fines for people who call 999 without a life-threatening condition you could start a petition about that.
