Petition Action

MPs to vote on Brexit options using Alternative Vote.

Petition Details

As of today, there are multiple candidate Brexit options, but Parliament is unable to form a majority for any of them.

Alternative Vote is a voting system where candidates are ranked in order of preference. If MPs rank the options in this way, one will come out the winner, breaking the deadlock.

Additional Information

Using Alternative Vote does not bias MPs towards one option or another — this petition is not attempting to limit the options available. No matter what the path ahead, a deadlock in Parliament means preparations cannot be made.
