Petition Details

The current government are going around in circles we need to hold a general election, so we can get a new government in power to look at delivering Brexit with fresh eyes so we can finally have the leavers vote honoured.

Additional Information

We have had many motions put forward and all of these have been rejected, none of these options deliver what the people voted for.

The current MPs and the speaker of the house are of too much of a remain government.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for a vote of no confidence.

We used to accept petitions that called for a vote of no confidence. However, the Petitions Committee can’t schedule votes of no confidence. This was often frustrating and disappointing for petitioners.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
Petitions calling for action on policy are more likely to be an effective way of achieving the change you want.
