Reduce knife crime. youth clubs, mentors in schools & for those with low income
knife crime has raised in the last year rapidly. I feel as a parent this is very disturbing, the age of these young people are getting younger and I'm worried for the youth. If the youth get more positive role models and support in schools and the local community this will help guide young people.
The police have now got more power to stop and search... but I feel society needs to help and support these young people to help prevent them from carrying knives in the first instance.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about knife crime, but we're not sure exactly what law you'd like the Government or Parliament to introduce.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
