Additional Information

This petition asks for installation of treadmills in all prisons. Prisoners should use these to create electricity. This could be used to provide energy for the prison. THis would both reduce cost of provision of electricty and reduce the impact on the environment caused by creating it by burning fossil fuels.

The exercise would also help prisoners rehabilitation by aiding the body to produce seratonin and therefore be less likely to reoffend.
