Rule that MP’s not representing the majority of their constituents stand down.

Petition Details

Many MP’s were given a clear mandate by their constituents to either remain or leave the EU and have since acted in direct opposition to such mandates bringing the house into disrepute both at local, national and international arenas risking the future democracy and stability of the nation.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for removing MPs from office because of their views or opinions.

How an MP votes would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
