On a single referendum issue, the voting age should be lowered to 16.
We are students studying abroad and we feel as though the voting age for single referendum issues such as Brexit should be lowered to the age of 16.
The reason as to why is because it will affect us as a young generation longer.
If Brexit proceeds then there are many chances that it will affect us, either positively or negatively, as we are living in Spain.
We strongly feel that it is unjust for us younger individuals not being able to vote.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
