Petition Action

Investigate whether Vote Leave campaigners knowingly deceived the public

Petition Details

The Vote Leave campaign made misleading (according to the ONS) claims such as the figure of £350 million a week being sent to the EU, will be sent to the NHS.
It is not acceptable to intentionally mislead the public and this needs to be investigated MPs must be held accountable.

Additional Information

The Office for National Statistics concluded that "the use of the £350 million figure by the Vote Leave campaign was potentially misleading" and "despite the Authority’s conclusion similar statements continued to be used in Vote Leave campaign material".
It should not be acceptable for MPs to knowingly engage in deceptive campaigns in order to influence the public under false pretences to win votes. (https://bit.ly/2CUbAan)
