Parliamentary reform & proportional representation
After the appalling display in parliament it is clear that there needs to be a more modern approach to dealing with matters of the country. The peoples vote and has not been listened to for far too long. There needs to be change away from these medieval processes and a dominant two party system.
New system based on think-tanks: ecology, education, forestry, farming, commerce, industry, climate change, nhs.. governed by elected scientists, educated persons in the field using localised knowledge. For each area of uk, Scotland, Wales,Ireland, south east, southwest, midlands, north. With proportional representation, you vote for whom you want in each think-tank in each area of country. No one party governing there will be 8+think-tanks with working together. Refinement of idea is welcomed.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what reforms you're calling for.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you want the UK Government or Parliament to do.
There's already a petition about proportional representation, which you might like to sign. You're more like to get action on an issue if you sign and share a single petition:
