Limit landlords to one private rental, buy excess properties for social housing
Limit the number of properties a person or organisation can profit from the rental of to one per person/organisation. A government body should buy the excess properties of those who currently exceed this limit, and make them available as social housing.

-The average cost of rent per calendar month increased by 19% from 2007 to 2017
-Average rent for a one bedroom flat in the UK is £650pcm, a month's full-time work at minimum wage earns £1,313.60
-Rent in the UK is the highest in Europe.
