Disbar any sitting member found guilty of an offence during their tenure
Any elected member of the Palace of Westminster, found guilty of a criminal offence whilst in office, which results in a custodial sentence or fine greater than 1/12th of the average annual salary should be automatically removed from their post and barred from re-admission for a minimum of 5 years.
The recent case of of an MP being found guilty of perverting the course of justice, and who has returned to the House of Commons, whilst wearing an electronic tag makes a mockery of our democracy. On conviction of an offence that results in either a custodial sentence of fine greater that 1/12th of the average salary, that person should automatically be removed from office and prevented from seeking re-election to either House for a minimum of 5 years after the offence
