Petition Details

To unblock this, we need to revoke article 50 on condition that the EU sets up a time limited working group to address people's concerns and the reasons 17m people in one of its member states voted to leave. A year after the working group has reported, there will be another UK in/out referendum.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because setting up such a working group would be a decision for the European Union and not the UK Government and Parliament. We're also not sure what you mean by "look at people's concerns".

You could start a new petition calling on the UK Government to remain in the EU and push for specific changes to the way the EU works if that is something you would like to see happen.
