Fine VW for dieselgate and use the proceeds to help transition to EV cars.
With the rollout of ULEZ in London, and other large cities considering similar schemes, I feel that the Government should fine VW for its role in dieselgate and use the proceeds to launch a well funded scrappage scheme and accelerate the roll out of the EV charging infrastructure and adoption.

This would be a decision for the courts. The UK Parliament and Government aren't responsible for fining companies. You could start a new petition calling for the UK Government to start legal proceedings against VW in the UK.
