Change the "first past the post" voting system.
This system was fine when there were only two parties to vote for, but now a party can govern when the majority of voters did not vote for that party.
Also, when the "Brexit" referendum was held in 2016, the electorate stood at 46,501,241
We are now set to leave the EU because 17,410,742 voters wanted to leave, but the vast majority, 29,090,499, did NOT vote to leave the EU.
